What is TRI-101?
TRI-101 is a program for beginner, novice, or intermediate athletes looking to achieve a triathlon fitness goal.

Whether you swim once a week, or haven't swam in years (or ever), this program creates the environment for like-minded athletes to train and learn together.
Like any new sport, there is a learning curve that is best followed with others, experiencing the same things as you. There are sport specific skills to learn, common injuries that you need to prevent, and nutrition requirements to understand. TRI 101 helps you to navigate through the early experiences of a triathlete.
Ultimately, the TRI-101 program prepares you for our annual sprint-distance triathlon, Tri The Rock.
POWERADE TRI THE ROCK in 2011 will be entering its sixth year as part of the Southeast Y Tri and Duathlon Series hosted race events, and whether you did 1 (
POWERADE Tri The Rock - naturally), 3, 6 or all 8 Triathlons/Duathlons in the Series (or maybe even a few out of the series too), it was a fantastic way keep your body aiming towards great health. 2011 will be even better! There is a NEW Triathlon/Duathlon scheduled in April at the Aquatics Center in conjuction with Come See Me and don't forget the Kid's Triathlon just after the Tri the Rock in May 2011 plus Baxter's event in June and the Assault on Cherokee in August!
