Membership

Our membership is open to YMCA members and non members and includes all of the benefits shown below.  Because we are a YMCA sponsored club utilizing so many of their resources, you must be a YMCA member to join the year round Tri Club at the lower fee. The TRI-101 program is a terrific opportunity to see what we and the Upper Palmetto YMCA are all about.  The annual fee for The Rock Tri Club is $59.00, prerequisite is that you have completed the TRI-101 course in its entirety and be a YMCA member. See Tri 101 for details to the first year program and TRI 201 for the details on that separate new program.

If you have any questions, please attend one of our group workouts and find out in person what fun triathlons can be.  Or feel free to drop an email to Jim Martin at trijimmartin@yahoo.com. If you would rather just come to one of Jim's cycle classes on Wednesday or Thursday (see Calendar Tab) to meet some of us in person for questions, let him know so he can allocate the time after class to meet with you.

Benefits

Weekly Group Workout Schedule.
Run, bike, swim, or strength, indoor and out, you've got options.  2 swims, 2-3 bikes, 2 runs, and a core/strength training class make up the weekly calendar of events from which you can choose.  Each event is coordinated by a coach, selected for their strength in that event.  In addition, other training events, like open water swims, track workouts, and training clinics will be scheduled.

Event Specific Coaching
Whether it is a scheduled technique workshop, or just on the spot advice, you have access to event specific coaches.  Our coordinators can tailor a workout, or development plan, to suit your training needs.

TRI-101, our beginners training program, is free for club members.  This program is designed for beginner, novice, and intermediate level triathletes.  TRI-101 brings triathletes together to help them move up the learning curve in a fun environment.  The culmination of TRI-101 is our annual sprint distance race in Rock Hill.
