| COACHES Jim Martin - Director & Head Coach, Race Director Jim is the Director, Workout and Head Coach for The Rock Tri Club - he started the tri club six years ago after moving back from Dallas, TX where he was a member of Dallas Athletes, a Dallas Tri Club. An avid sports enthusiast and athlete for most his life - baseball, football, and wrestling - he enjoys triathlons because of the personal challenge and goal achievement gain. If you need to know where to get equipment or gear or a question on fitness, Jim will have an answer for you. Jim is also our Race Director for Powerade Tri the Rock now in its 6th year, the upcoming Tri at Baxter (Fort Mill), and the Assault on Cherokee (AOC) International (distance) Triathlon (Camp Cherokee - Blacksburg, SC). Jim's favorite race distance is a Half Iron... preferably the du as we take a trip in November for the Miami Man Tri... He is also Directing the Y Tri series as well. I have been involved with competitive cycling for 20+ years. I have raced road, mountain, and track. I started competing in duathlons and triathlons 5+ years ago for a new challenge. I continue to participate in these sports because I enjoy the camaraderie, fun, and fitness benefits of an active lifestyle. Stan is a USAT certified coach and active triathlete. In addition to being a pretty nice guy and a great go-to for all types of tri questions, he will provide TRI-101 with the extra knowledge to ensure everyone learns what they need from TRI-101. Stan is a strong asset as he is very supportive of a growing tri community in Rock Hill. He will also be working the 201 portion of the 2010 TRI-101/201 program. Casey Lovera - Swim Coach
Casey was a member of the Flyers Aquatic Swim Team for 6 years. She swam for Lindberg High School for 4 years where she was captain. She then swam one year for the NCAA Saint Louis University Bilikens and one year for the N.A.I.A. Lindenwood Lions.
Jamie will be our second run coach this season after coming to us with an extensive run background having accomplished several marathons and half marathons. Pitts An active The Rock Tri Club participant, I also I maintain the website, schedule any socials, take most the pictures (my favorite side of the camera), and keep up with and do most all the paperwork (yuck). I have competed in numerous events and am coming off an injury so I will be starting over with all the newbies! I enjoy the multisport event immensely and am always ready to help the members any way possible to keep this fun and healthy!
